Metabolic Support UK is delighted to announce that during the month of July, one medicine was approved by the Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) for the treatment of an inherited metabolic disorder. You can find details below: 

Pegunigalsidase alfa for treating Fabry disease. This medicine was accepted for restricted use by SMC in Scotland. The restriction specifies that pegunigalsidase alfa is only available to adults with symptomatic Fabry disease who would usually be offered enzyme replacement therapy.
