Medicines Development Lifecycle

This module has been designed to give you a broad overview and understanding of the medicine development process from pre-discovery to manufacturing and monitoring. 

This module was developed by the MSUK team and reviewed by our Metabolic Advisory Committee.

Every year, we speak with many people living with an Inherited Metabolic Disorder and their community about treatments, cures and the role of medical research and clinical trials. We have identified a need for our community to be more fully informed about the medicine development pathway in a language that is accessible to you.  

This module gives you a broad overview of how a medicine is developed from pre-discovery by scientists right through to supply from your local pharmacist or specialist.
